At this time, we only offer a separate subscription to access teacher learning resources and help and support for providing these.

A wide range of professional development support is available. Our trainers bring over 20 years of experience in outdoor education, sustainability, and forest school practice. They also have extensive hands-on experience delivering sessions to diverse groups, enabling them to share real-world insights and examples throughout the training.

You will be supported to enrol on the pathway or course most relevant to your needs and will be allocated a named trainer who is available for advice and guidance. We offer self-paced online modules, live webinars and workshops, as well as downloadable templates, resources, and access to our support community.

In addition, we provide opportunities for peer-to-peer collaboration and, where available, ongoing mentoring or coaching to help you apply your learning confidently in practice.

Yes, you can buy the courses individually without signing up for the resource bank subscription.

You don’t need any specific equipment before attending an in-person course. One of our friendly trainers will get in touch with joining instructions and any recommended kit you may need in advance. Most importantly, bring plenty of enthusiasm, it will take you a long way!

We can accommodate payment by instalment at checkout, select Klarna payments for pay in three interest free instalments.

A first payment must be received before you can be enrolled on a course, please contact us directly to arrange an instalment schedule or to talk through the available options.

Yes, when you complete a course you will be able to download a certificate of completion directly to your computer. Accredited courses will get a certificate issued by the awarding body.

Our trainers are highly qualified and very experienced. Our training team are leaders in the field, with over 40 years of combined experience across a variety of contexts and with learners of different ages and abilities. All trainers have teaching and assessing qualifications. They also complete regular CPD to ensure their practice remains current and aligned with the latest developments.

Some of our courses are delivered entirely online. These are accessed through our online training platform, allowing you to learn at your own pace. Please see the individual course details for specific delivery information.

Yes, some courses give you the opportunity to experience some practical work and meet our expert training team face-to-face.

No, the Forest School L2 qualification is for those in the assistant role supporting a forest school leader. The L3 is for those wishing to set up and lead a forest school. You will require an L2 qualification or above (GCSE equivalent) to access this course.

At Nature Based Learning, we’re a friendly bunch based right here in the UK. We are based across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Northamptonshire. This allows us to deliver training in a range of accessible locations within these areas.

Each course has designated trainers. For accredited courses, you’ll be assigned a specific trainer and meet them in person. You can reach out to us at any point during your online or in-person course. Your trainers look forward to connecting with you and will support you throughout your learning journey and after you finish the course.

We use a variety of training locations in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire including private woodlands, schools and training centres.

We do not place limits on the number of courses you can attend. However, accredited courses can require a significant time commitment, so you may wish to discuss this with us before booking several at once. For the best learning experience, we recommend completing one course before enrolling on another.

Our accredited courses run through ITC, ensuring verification and standardisation take place. So you can rest assured you are receiving a nationally recognised qualification. Accredited courses are reviewed every 5 years.

Forest school courses are recognised by the Forest School Association.
