Join Angela Smith from SEND Education Partners and explore the key benefits of teaching outdoors to scaffold and develop executive functioning skills.
The session will include a presentation about the importance of developing a young person’s executive functioning skills in school and at home in preparation for adulthood and a successful education. A link to pupils with special educational needs and some additional barriers that impact on a young person’s executive functioning skills or vice versa. This will be followed by a discussion around how teaching outdoors can support this development, followed by questions.This workshop is for anyone who would like to understand executive functioning and the key challenges that impact on learning.
